Scottish Paintball Players Series

Wildwoodz is leading the charge to put Scottish Paintball Teams  at the top of the sport. The National Shootout Arena was the first permanent tournament paintball facility in Scotland and it has fast become a Mecca for tournament Players nationwide.

The Scottish Paintball Players Series is the perfect stage for your team to start competition paintball together. The series is aimed at teams at all levels, from first time teams to experienced tournament squads – you won’t feel out of place whoever you are. The SPPS and it’s many industry sponsors are committed to building the sport of paintball in Scotland providing regular but affordable events with something for everyone to fight for ... go on – make a name for yourselves!

SPPS Dates 2010.

Round 1 - Sunday June 2nd

Round 2 - Sunday July 25th

Scottish Open - Sunday September 5th

Round 3 - Sunday November 7th

New for 2010! A Rookie Division!

In 2010 the SPPS is looking for the newest paintball teams with the most potential. We're adding a rookie division to the existing tournaments. The Rookie division is aimed at groups of players that fancy the challenge of tournament paintball but don't have all their own kit yet. The Rookies battle it out away from the more established teams and at each event the team with the most points takes home 5 peices of essential paintball kit to help them build their team. Teams must use at least 3 rental markers and costs are fixed to anable new teams and younger players to take part.

The first SPPS tournament will be held in June / July so there's plenty of time to start planning and training your squad. If you're interested in forming a team of 5-7 mates and giving this a try please contact dave@wildwoodzpaintball.co.uk

Entrance fees and costs

Rookie Teams: £250 per team including gear rental, air fills AND 5 cases of Paint!!

SPPS Rounds 1-3:  £175 per team including air fills to 3000psi, Paintballs@£27.50 per case.

Scottish Open:   £200 per team including air fills to 3000psi, Paintballs@£27.50 per case.

Rules and reffing.

For 2008 and 2009 the SPPS has it's own group of dedicated refs reffing every event - Yes dedicated refs not players that are sitting out! Rules for the series can be found on the SPPS section of the Wildwoodz forum.

Prizes and trophies.

To encourage new teams into playing tournaments for 2010 prizes donated by the industry can only be awarded to teams playing Rookie Division - experienced teams are playing for glory - And BIG BIG trophies!
